Office Depot popup ads are extremely annoying.

The new Office Depot popups are very annoying and take forever to close even when the CLOSE button is clicked on the ad.
I have closed out threads without reading them because of those ads.

Two ways to deal with it. The first would be to pay for a membership here, which eliminates the ads. The other being to use some sort of ad blocking software on whatever browser you're using.

I agree. The Office Depot ads are over the top and would make me purposely avoid shopping there. They take over the entire page and won't shut when you click on the close button. Ads like this defeat the whole purpose of advertising because they create ill will toward the advertiser. Seems like someone on the Bike Forums ad department could talk to them about toning it down.

According to the thread started in Road about this (and now moved here), it's not an approved IB ad and they are working on blocking it.

That's correct. They had hoped to have the ad blocked yesterday; I guess they're still working on it.

I would consider a membership if I spent as much time here as some seem to do, but I don't.
I have not installed an adblocker because it is the way many websites pay the bills for hosting and bandwidth. Seems dishonest avoid seeing what the advertisers are paying for.
Also I appreciate some of the ads, they lead me to products and services that I would not otherwise be aware of.
