I need some help! I just rebuilt my trusty old Trek 2300 and ready to put her back to work with a few group rides. I recently moved to Inman park and found 2 rides I can easily ride to from home/work.
Anlsey Park: Atlanta Cycling Go West Ride. 6:30. Strenuous/Training. Meet at Atlanta Cycling Ansley, 22 miles
and
L5Flyers Grant Park Loop. 6:30. Moderate/Strenuous. Starts April 23 miles of in-town terror, er, fun. Moderate pace ride through some nice in-town neighborhood roads. Starts and ends at Outback Bikes in Little 5 Points. Route is marked with yellow L's. this is my weekend route, and I enjoy it but never met the team...
Which would be best suited for somebody that has taken 2 years off from cycling? I'm a decent runner but have let the cycling go. May take me some time to get the speed back. If I do get the speed back, I will be looking for a new ride this summer/fall.
The L5Flyers is a moderate/strenuous ride. I think the emphasis is on strenuous. The other ride is a training ride, even harder/faster.
I'm guessing you found these rides on the SBL website. Look again and you may find something a bit easier until you get your cycling legs.

Thanks for posting this. I'm (obviously -- look at the post count *grin*) new here, and like you, I've been away for a while. Much longer, actually, more like 15 years away, and it's time to get back.
Could you update this thread with any groups / rides you find that would be good re-entry points? Appreciate it very much,
