Playing around on my phone with google maps, I just found another great regional park 5.5 miles away by dedicated bike trail! Need to take the kids there today or tomorrow.

Anyone else find unexpected routes/destinations with the bike navigation feature lately?
We recently found a bike trail about 1.5 from the house that'll take us all the way to our favorite museum/learning center. It's 13 miles one way, so I dont think we'll be making that ride until later this summer, but it's an option nonetheless. There is also a trail that goes up north to a bike shop and a model train store (one of our other hobbies), but that ride is almost 30 miles one way; definately out of our range, but it's ccol to know we could ride there if we wanted to. =)

Go to Google Maps, hover over the options bar at the right hand side, and click on Bicycling. It will give you bike lanes, separated bike routes, and bike-friendly streets.

To answer the question, though, I actually have not found any unexpected routes with the bike feature. I know every trail from Anoka through Bloomington like the back of my hand. Even the obscure cut-through ones (I look ahead before visiting friends, so it isn't random).
Okay, I am getting to region-specific here, sorry.
Heh, I don't agree with hardly any of the bike-friendly streets around Minneapolis, but that's just my opinion.
