    Movie about a car-free cyclist

I just got done watching "Framed". It's a Masterpiece Contemporary film from PBS. It stars Eve Myles as a car-free school teacher who falls in love with an art curator from London. It's pretty cute.

    On giving up:
Everyone knows that Christopher Columbus discovered the New World for Spain on his first voyage. But few people realize that on his 4th voyage, Columbus gave up, turned back and sailed for home; within 10 miles of where he could have discovered the Pacific Ocean.

It has all the right chemistry for a classic car-free romance.

Where did you see it? It was broadcast a while back. It's not on NetFlix. Not available to watch on PBS in the US.

A car- free romance? Sounds like a care-free romance. You have to love bikes.
Trek 520, LaMond Victoire, Surly Steamroller, Bianchi Forza, Electra Ghostrider, Giant Suede, Kona Unit, Kona Kahuna. Fun in many forms. Oh yeah, and 2010 Victory Cross Roads.

One thing I notice about him is that he has North American style teeth. For some reason, the British (and I suppose the Europeans...) seem to have a more relaxed attitude as to what healthy teeth represent.

    Steve Carrell

    Eve Myles

If Myles was a North American actor, she'd have been to the orthodontist a long time ago. (Though I'd argue it just adds to her charm.)

not only North Americans but Latin Americans too

a spanish friend of mine, who visited Mexico, used to think that the celebrities' smiles on T.V. were fake until she came here.

I've also read that the British have a different attitude towards products they buy. A pair of running shoes with a bad stitch is an automatic return in the US, but in Britain, it makes the shoes more "unique".

Me too, though perhaps "like" isn't quite strong enough. Thanks for the tip OP, must go track this down.
