Try them cooked in bacon or sausage drippings with a bit of flour disting. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Geeze, I completely forgot about morel hunting. I wish I'd have stumbled across this thread sooner. I hope they're not all gone yet, I can think of a few places around here that'd be great for them. I was really into it when I lived in Carbondale. Had some amazing hauls down there. Battered and seasoned with creole seasoning was our favorite.

I don't think I've ever seen them growing in Georgia and I spent a good bit of time in the woods as a kid. Does anyone know if they grow here?
Dangit, I almost only post in Foo, so my post count is abysmal.

I think the websites "morelhunters.com" or "thegreatmorel.com" have a sightings map, and from what I recall, only Northern Georgia has them, and they're probably very rare there.
