    umd update thread

I thought it'd be nice for his friends to have a thread to update his status. I just got this update via email from him, his surgery was yesterday.

Good news. He'll be pleased at the prospect of getting off his ass. (We can say ass).

I think unbanning him would help the healing go faster.

Please, don't even get started. Steve seems like an OK guy, but he broke the rules, was warned, and broke the rules again. You can follow him on facebook, or that other place.

Because Tom is a nice guy and the dust has settled from previous drama. As long as the dust stays settled his name will probably not be verboten.

and from one who previously stirred the dust, we should now leave it settled.

For those of you on Strava, he's posting some updates like this one with their app.

Steve Weixel walked 0.0 mi and climbed 0 ft on Nurse's Station Loop
about 12 hours ago with the Strava iPhone App

and a comment about the same from his wife (I assume wife, I don't know them well at all):

"There were a few wheel touches (IV stand and walker) but everyone managed to stay upright."

Best wishes to him and all others involved or otherwise healing. Also, kudos to umd and his wife for their positive attitudes.
