NY Spring Series - Prospect Park

Anyone know if you can go "standby" and take the place of a "no-show" at these?

Well, me I guess Cat 5. Looking to go tomorrow. I figure if I can take a no-show slot in cat 5 tomorrow's questionable weather would make the odds better than on other days.

odds of people not showing up, odds of getting to race...

no, not the odds of winning, doing well, or even finishing, just being allowed to start

I'm not sure what that means. But then again I'm new to the 33, more used to the 41.

It's a NY thing not a 33 thing. He's the promoter. They're races that are ill advised to do under most circumstances. The level of "should not do" increases with distance traveled, weather, and ability to register.

Eh, it wasn't bad. A bit of a cat 5 controversy, but that didn't effect me. Got my space, got my race, got my experience, got away without getting caught in the crash. All in all a good day.
