Not off to a great start.
On the plus side, the clutch in my car is slipping pretty badly, so it'll probably be out of commission for several days, which means I'll be commuting to work on my bike.
Gotta think positive.
Got in about 40 miles today, tuff group ride tonight made it back alive no heart attack.
Had thought to do a decent ride today but ended up only taking a few bits back to a friend. Oh well...

Bit of a power blast today, looking to see if I could increase my speed and hold it a while. Really didn't feel like it for a good chunk of the time but decided to force through it all anyway. And in the end I enjoyed it, held ~20mph for longer stretches than before, pushed faster up some of the local hills (for what they are worth, they're pretty small by international standards), and maintained a moving average (which obviously includes time slowing for lights and speeding up afterwards) of around 16mph.
ETA: Later in the day went back to the park to meet up with a friend and take him on a scenic ride around the park. He kind of knows the park but never cycled it before. It looked a bit funny, me on the Tricross and him on his wife's rather feminine bike. But it was a good ride. Then I took the chance to lay down a bit of power going home once he'd put the bike back in his car.

No real ride today worked on my recumbent and did a 2.5 miles test ride, had to fix the brakes.

After a personal high in March, small injuries, and obligations, have kept me off my bike.

i might get a chance to squeeze in a ride this weekend, but then im leaving town for a week and mwill be lucky to find a bike to ride on a day while im away....
i'll likely have to try to squeeze most of my months mileage into the second half of the month.
In May i'm signed up for the 5 boro bike tour.
And now, in June, I'm signed up for the Ride to Montauk. It is to be my first century.

Cold morning 34F, did breakfast group, a ride short 20 mile loop today due to the cold, but I got in another 12 or so riding to/from shop. Nice easy ride other than the sprint at the end, feel recovered from thursday night. May take out the Long bike later its getting nice and sunny out now.

After going on a 3 mile ride with my 6 yo. I set out on a longer ride of 59.13. Felt real good for the first 20 miles after the major climb. At the turn around point I turned into a variable headwind. 4011 feet elevation gain on this ride.

Used the recumbent for a morning and late afternoon rides 36.5miles. Glad I got it out and worked on it last Friday. Its a fun and comfortable ride gets lots of smiles and waves.
