OK, I got in an 11 miler this afternoon. April total came to 245.9. Year to date is 1062 miles. A year ago, I hadn't ridden in about 15 years. Glad to be back in the saddle!
I beat my goal of 450mi/724km and reached 517mi/832km. Here I come May.
I love to commute and ride. Keeping a positive focus.

Ya all: I just wanted to say GREAT job to everyone! This month was tough for some and too easy for others and every did great! Keep up the great work.
Did get in a ride last night for the end of the month, good month miles wise. Sure have been eating a lot though, putting the pounds back on, was back to 215# yesterday.

Move along....nothing to see here....anymore.
Commuting sure helps but I think the real gains are from consecutive longish weekend rides. With a century scheduled for May 20th and the Seattle to Portland in July I am somewhat trying to follow the training plan for the STP. This has been a huge time committment but I am enjoying it as well. My goal has been to get down to 230 by June, 8-9 lbs. to go, not sure I'll make that without cutting back on the comfort foods.

I concur with Chef! Well done everyone. It is not the amount of miles so much as it is setting an achievable goal and going out there and meeting or exceeding it. Keep the enjoyment high even if this means enjoying the pain on occasion and you'll keep getting on the bike, at least that is how it works for me.

Between sickness and an incredible crunch of chores that required me to take vacation, I only made 147.42 km. For the rst of the year I'll have to do 316 km/month to make up for April's shortage in order to reach the year's goal of 3600 km. My goal will to do more than than to build up some padding.

Finally got on my bike for the first time this month. Commute to work. 21 miles.
I'm going to try to commute all week. At 10 miles each way, it'll add up quick.
