Lost your bike on the freeway in La Canada?

I'm a pretty dedicated lurker here but ran across this on CL today and thought I should pass it along in hopes of reuniting some poor soul with the roadrash bike they left on hwy 2 and hearing the story behind it

That is cool but if I ever lost my bike I woudl have no idea what the SN# is.
