That's why Florida now has a law requiring motorists to pass cops who have pulled cars over with x-amount of space between them and the cop.

I think most states already have laws that prohibit one from using the shoulder to pass...but obviously didn't stop this moron from attempting to anyway.

If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government -- and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws" - Edward Abbey

Agreed, several years ago over in Tampa there was an incident where a HARTline driver saved the life of a passenger. Just as the passenger was about to step off of the bus the driver "snapped" the door shut in the passenger's face.

The reason that the driver did this, is because some fool in a car was attempting to pass the bus on the shoulder.

There was an accident about six or seven years ago where I lived where some moron tried to pass on the shoulder and rear ended a stalled car, killing two people.

I consider passing on the shoulder basically the mark of terminal stupidity.

I've never seen people trying to use the bike lane, but I see them trying to use onramps to pass all the time. Unreal.
I remember being a stupid, reckless teenager and even back then I knew that was a really dumb move.
