Can Anyone help identify the year for this Trek 6000

The seller claims its a 2008 or 2009, and that he paid $1300 for it. He's selling it for $400. Anyone have an idea what this bike should be worth and what year this color came in? Thanks.

Looks like a 2000 model to me. Run for your life, you are dealing with a Shyster! $150. is too much for a bike that originally sold for $569.00 The 600 never sold for more than @$800.

For future reference, you can look up over 90% of the mountain bikes on this site. This way you can research any bike you are interested in.
Misquoting the year on Craigslist listings is a common practice. Most only err by one year, a few by two. The guy who's selling that bike you are looking at is trying to take advantage of someone who is learning about MTBs. Move on, don't go back to them.

PS, That looks like the original, year 2000 Manitou fork. I've got one of those. I nice fork, but wait until you try to buy a rebuild kit for one. Very pricey.

    RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!
That was a low-end aluminum model that would have been NO MORE than $500 or so new. The owner is delusional, and is obviously attached to the bike.
