    Buddhism on a Bike:

    Hi guys,
My name is John and I am a PhD student currently doing research in Sport Psychology at the University of New England, Armidale NSW. I am a keen competitive cyclist myself. I regularly compete at regional TT, road and MTB events.

However, to my main point for this thread. I am currently seeking help for my research from the competitive cycling community (worldwide), from all disciplines! I am hoping to find competitive cycling enthusiasts who may be interested in completing a survey I am running. My research topic is called Buddhism on a Bike: Tailoring Mindfulness-Acceptance to Promote Flow in Competitive Cyclists. I would love to receive your anonymous perspective on your competitive experiences, at any level, in MTB, road, track, tri and time trial. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete fully, however, if you only have time for the first half then that would be great as well. So please have a look at the survey link below. In addition I invite any questions and opinions you may have, as it is all welcome.

Thanks, I am looking forward to your thoughts.
    John

Oxymoron of competitiveness and Buddhism . . . Letting go of the ego is the primary issue in Buddhism and competitiveness aspect of sports upsets the notion of giving up ego. The only way Buddhism works on a bike is riding 45 miles to pagoda to meditate then ride home. Any who that is how i do it

Most racers won't take the time to read/ do survey, it will take them out of their heart rate zone. And the cadence will fall.
