Midwest Recumbent Rally

Mrs. Grouch and I have made the decision to go to the rally in August. We'll be staying at the Comfort Inn in Plover. Anybody else?

I live just over 2 hours from Stevens Point and have been there a few times, but I've never gone up to the rally. Don't know why it doesn't appeal to me. Guess I just like cruising Wisconsin's bike trails more.

Is the rally always in the same place? The Midwest Tandem Rally moves every year.

The Midwest Recumbent Rally is hosted by the Hostel Shoppe in Stevens Point WI. So no, it doesn't move around.

It would be a long run for a short slide for me.

RG, we're at the LaQuinta. Hope to meet you while we're there.

I'd like that too.

I'll be wearing a name tag with my BF and BROL screen name.

I went in 2008. If you can make it, it is well worth the trip. Just to be able to see all the makes of bents makes the trip worth it. Most of all it is really fun talking to all the other bent riders. BTW the ride routes are beautiful. The roads are good, and the traffic is light.

My wife and I are considering it. Have been wanting to for a while.

Need to get car set up to transport the bikes first.

How's the room availability? Hope we haven't waited too long.

We've been contemplating the possibility of purchasing Greenspeed Anuras to link together. Trouble is neither of us has ever seen even one Anura much less ride one and I wonder how much disassembly would be necessary to transport them inside of our Honda Element. I'm planning to email the good folks at Hostel Shoppe to see if they can fix us up with a test ride. What better time to do that?

Every bent rider should go at least once of possible.

You could try for HOTR in 2013 in Austin...
It's only twice as far away as Stevens Point!

I'm debating on it. I'm kinda of in the market for a new trike so a chance to ride a bunch of test rides really appeals to me. I'll be out west at the Sturgis motorcycle rally and may just leave a couple days early to get there for the test rides.
