This isn't my best photo - however, it's the only one made on the ride. Invisible is my head - OK partial head - of hair, unlike a certain brother I know.

When I look in a mirror I think, "Well, I'm not THAT old." When I see a photo of myself, or catch an unexpected reflection in window glass, I think to myself, "What the heck happened to me!?!?"

Thanks for sharing the photos and the story. Ride reports like this are one of the best parts of Bike Forums, in my opinion. As someone who has lived in PA for most of my life, I enjoy seeing pictures from rides in other parts of the country.
The rider in my avatar is David Etxebarria, not me.

From a totally objective point of view, I can tell you that hair is overrated. Less is easier to maintain and makes you look more athletic...

Wow this is an amazing thread! Thank you so much for sharing your ride. The pictures and narrative were wonderful! I can only pray that when I am your age I am still fit and feeling as good as you!
