    You can't see them in the pic 'cause the pedals are hidden, but my spare shoes are already clipped into the spare bike ready to roll - saves time on the changeover! I just slip into the new shoes and I am instantly ready to drope the hamer!

    Be sure to verify your gear before each ride. If you look closely at the picture right over the top tube, you'll see that you not only forgot the spare shoes and cleats, but the pedals as well. You did remember the crank arm though...

    It blows my mind how many people never even consider a breakdown. I ride a few times a week with a guy who carries nothing--no patch kit, and no pump. He does carry a cell phone though. So far so good.

    Damn, cannot believe thieves stole those right off my bike in the middle of a sportive! The nerve of some people! I will need to add a heft bike lock next time
