Love all their kit. Ride with the smaller headband now and doubles as an ear warmer. Use the full skull cap when it gets cold (not so much here in TX).

Last year, rode an SWorks helmet with the very wide openings in the front. Worked better at keeping my forehead dry, but need a new helmet this year. Also found Oakley jawbones helped with sweat with the small openings at the side of lenses.

I wear a regular Adidas terry cloth headband on almost every ride and find that it keeps the sweat not only out of my eyes but also off the inside of my glasses. When it's cold I'll put the headband over my ears. On my ride today I couldn't find a clean headband so I rode without one. It was only about 65 so heat wasn't too much of an issue, but when I got home I had to quickly grab some paper towels to keep the sweat from burning my eyes. Oh the hardships we endure to ride these bikes...

So glad to see this thread. I have a similar problem with sweat in my eyes and messing up my contacts. I've lost a contact on 3 occations in the past month. I'll be ordering a sweatband tonight.

Actually, one thing that did help me signficantly was a helmet with more vents to pass the air through to help wick away some sweat.

As the original poster I will recommend lasik. I did 11 years ago one of the worst the dr ever had done. -12 in left eye and -13 in the right I could only see wearing hard lenses glass did not work. I have not worn glass or anything since and see 20/20 fuzzy in the left and 20/30 in the right eye.

I wear a bandanna over my head that is made of the same material as my jerseys and it works great. The perspiration evaporates quickly and helps keep my head cool too. Now I live in the Arizona desert so usually the humidity is not very high. Your results could be different.

I've used the GUTR and deacon mark is right it looks ridiculous but it does work. I prefer the Headsweats Coolmax. No real issues with either.

i can see myself being too lazy/hassled to apply it everytime before i ride...especially if commuting; ill forget to pack vaseline.

I use the Sweat GUTR. Works well and it's fairly small. I have to roll my head to the side for the gutter to work sometimes. I like that it doesn't stay wet/moist like a regular sweat band.

Don't forget to rinse your helmet more often after rides. Salt builds up in the padding and concentrates making the stuff going into your eyes that much worse. I just take mine into the shower..

I have one of the Walz wicking cycling caps that I cut the "cap" out of so it is basically a headband with a bill. Not perfect but it works pretty well. I have also tried a wicking skull cap and it was useless.
