    I could never reach them in the drops, and they didn't trim worth a darn either. I ended up with 6600 so I can't comment on campy thumb shifters.

    Excellent idea. This stuff works really well, it's fully compatible with Shimano 7800, 6600, and 5600 (for a supply of cassettes and replacements if needed), and the price is right.
