I am kinda diggin' my Tiagra 4600 12-30. Some of you don't like wide cassettes, but it has really helped when challenging new climbs.
I am secure in my Fredhood.
+1. I live in the same area as the OP, and I've ended up w/ 2 cassettes. The 12-30 is really nice if the ride has a lot of steep climbs, in the beginning I may not use the 30 but near the end of the ride it sure is nice! I use a 12-25 for commuting/regular rides, if you look at a gear-inches chart that cassette has more different gears around the 18-21 mph / 90-100 cadence. I like being able to select a perfect gear regardless of the wind/slight incline/whatever. the 11-27 had a big gap right where I do most of my pedaling.
