    Eddy's saddle

I've read/heard here and there, without any details, that the great Eddy Merckx rode a Brooks saddle in competition...at least for a time.

Does anyone have pictures of this, or know which model he rode? I'm simply curious, since all the pictures that I've seen of him are on god-awful (in my opinion) Cinelli Unicanitor saddles.
    Good night...and good luck

Large rivet pro, at least as documented in one movie, same movie where he whips out his Campagnolo allen key and adjusts his saddle during the race.

Merckx is such an animal. I gotta see this clip of him adjusting his saddle mid-race.

I know he adjusts his saddle in the movie "A Sunday In Hell." The whole movie is on You Tube.

I want to say that during "La Course en Tete" he adjusts it himself during a training ride, and has a support car help him adjust it during a race, but it's been a while since I've seen it. Badass points for sure, but I wouldn't want to have the lower-back pain that necessitated it.

ON EDIT: Maybe it was "A Sunday in Hell"... I dunno, watch both.

I think it's either "Sunday in Hell" or "The Greatest Show (?)" where he borrows a wrench from the Team Brooklyn car and adjusts his saddle while the race is held up by a protest. Looks like a brooks pro.

I always heard he switched to the Brooks when his backside was tender. The Brooks, which I'm sure he rode the same one for years, gave him greater comfort for those long days in the saddle.

I've watched the clip. With the video resolution and lighting I've seen on it, I can't tell what kind of saddle it is, or if it's even a Brooks. It's a very cool video clip though.
    Good night...and good luck
