Yep guy is Sellwood...Dude should take the ad down, but he is in the middle of moving.
Then of course I had to do a double take looking at the post above, Goodwill in Milwaukie could have been "the Bins" (nick name of the good will outlet here) which wouldn've put me a couple blocks from the op Raleigh when I got mine. However the Milwaukee in WI is a pretty good drive from here.

DANG!!!! I have given up on ANY of our local Goodwill stores, they want $75 for beat-up Walmart bikes, and MUCH more for anything decent! Guess our local market has just pushed prices to INSANE places, a lot of folks bike here year round. No deals to be had there!

Lovely bike...Two things, the bike should have had a Sturmey Dynamo hub rather than a bottle generator. And that kickstand is an add on that you might want to take off to stop it from damaging your seat stays. Pretty!

Beautiful and extraordinary find... agreed that the bicycle should have a Dynahub up front instead of the bottle generator and the replaced front wheel might be an indication that the bicycle suffered some front end damage. Lesser models would have been fitted with a bottle generator that would be of British manufacture in this era while later models got Asian made generators.
As to the fork... if it needs to be aligned I would take it to or send it to someone who knows how to perform a proper alignment and the fork should be removed to do this and because a bike of this age should see a full overhaul of all the bearings. Would be sure there is an oil port at the bottom bracket so this is also an option.

Ah yes, the Moorland store, got my Timberlin MTB there on a snowy/blizzardly day a year or four ago. Due to their new layout the bikes may or may not come out as they come in. Again, nice score. I'm thinking that once I have my his-n-hers Raleigh 3-speeds overhauled we could have a regional C&V gathering.

Thanks for all of your input! Well the saga continues. After further inspection I noticed that the rear hub is a Sturmey Archer Dynohub, haven't tested it yet. Is is strange for this to have a rear dynohub instead of the front one that others have mentioned? I checked out the handling yesterday, no hands straight as an arrow, even though the fork still looks a bit tweaked.

Fantastic find Sir T ! You have a real head turner there.
PS - I would heed advice on completely overhauling the bearings and inspecting the races before riding it. IME most of these older 3-speeds were ridden without regard to lubrication and likely the bearings are shot or lodged in some crusty OLD varnish leftover from 1955.

I am in the process of hunting down the correct lighting system to replace the later model that is on there now. I am looking for the front light that slides onto the Raleigh heron light mount, there are currently two different light mounts on the front. Am I correct to be looking for the chrome and green one that I have pictured? Any input of the rear light? I still have to test the rear dynohub, I am guessing it doesn't work because of the bottle dyno replacement but you never know! I just purchased some new tires and tubes, going to try and tackle the full chaincase this weekend. Some new grips and a headset rebuild and she will be ready to roll.
Thanks!
Here are the pics: First one is of the light mount I have on my bike without the correct lamp for it. Second picture is of what I believe is the correct lights.
