    Konocti Challenge 2012

Anyone else planning on doing this event? Saturday, October 6, 2012

I signed up for the metric century. My longest ride so far is 50 miles... so 65 doesn't sound too bad. Only 2700 feet of climbing too; I do more on my rides in the Marin Headlands and Mt Tam already. Should be fun!

Rode the Metric Century last year....it was according to the map route sheet to be about 3500ft of climbing. This year...a friend just getting into cycling signed up to do the 40 mile ride...nice ride. I really enjoyed it...got to see some different scenery. Great ride!!!!!!

Yeah, I did the metric century this year, it was a really great ride! I had never ridden that far before with that much climbing, I felt like I could have gone further. Will definitely do it again next year, probably the "real" century this time.
