Inexpensive wheelset q
I received my Uncle John frameset yesterday and I need a set of wheels. Are WTB Laserdisc 29er wheels acceptable? Seem to be 27mm.
Thoughts or other suggestions? Used wheels are at a premium where I live. FWIW I am a small cylde (227lbs - 103.7kg). Thanks.

did you buy the WTB laser TCS wheels from chainlove by chance? I picked up a set for $209 and want to messaround with tubeless CX tires. looking for recommendations on tires. I'm also a clyde but closer to 250 so I'm wondering if that is a no no for tubeless or not. I don't race cx, but i commute all year round and I want a 2nd set of wheels on my disc trucker that have some knobbiness for snow and for the occassional times I want to take it out on some dirt trails. I also don't want to have to remove the fenders so thats why i'm thinking cx tires vs mtb

Shouldnt be an issue. I have a mavic a719 rear wheel, i think its 25mm and can fit a 42 conti xcross tire no problem on my uncle john. As long as you got the kaffenback fork should be good to go with that wheelset.

Got some steep, curvy roads here too, and don't want to roll a tubie at 45+mph...
