In searching for local to SF rides, I came across this SITE (San Francisco to Google) has anyone ridden with this group? apparently it's a club, how are the rides? and are there guys that commute both ways regularly from SF to Google in Palo Alto?

It's a very active community - I've only done one of their weekday morning rides but it was a spiritied group. I think there are different flavors and paces of ride, best option is to browse the google group and see what rides are coming up

Apparently they have speed averages from about 13 to 20+ That's quite a ride from SF to Palo Alto, I assume they ride back too? that's 80 miles a day! probably most take Caltrain back with the short days. My problem is they leave a bit too early, 6 am meet up in the Mission.

I believe Caltrain back home is the norm.

I have passed them going the other way on the Bay trail in Foster City a couple of times a few years ago, fast group.

One of my co-workers has done a couple of their routes on the weekend for fun. I just don't have the time.

Me too. They tend to break up into clusters -- a small breakaway group and then a a good deal later a we-own-all-lanes pack followed by some stragglers.

Since I live in SF towards the beach, I probably would have to go south on Hwy1 towards So. SF and head out to Hillside and Bayshore. I think they pass close to Oyster Pt. Hey! that's enough of a ride already in my state of bad fitness

We are doing great but busy, not enough time for much bike riding right now.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just painted the house front (took close to a month) and now for the back. Along with finally clearing out 45+ years of junk in each room, about 15- 20 miles a couple times a week is all I can ride.
