Another week and down another pound. 210 leaves me 25 to go. I would like it to be quicker but they say slow and steady. I've read somewhere that if you control the loss to 1/2-1/4 pound a week there is very little chance of loosing muscle while decreasing weight. I'm all for keeping bike fitness while loosing weight so slow and steady it is.

That was an awful week, fought the flu, never got it full on but only felt like 60% myself all week and still feel bloated. On the positive side it did manage to ride even if it included puking and I lost a pound so now at 209. Twenty four to go.

So after a week of turmoil I'm down to 201 eight pounds in a week is not healthy and not what I want. Either way 16 pounds to go, but I expect a little gain when my life regains some normality.

Motivation comes in many forms... but when I see all the reports and videos from this group with all the hardwork/dedication and ability to climb like mountain goats... I feel like I can suck it up, dig a little deeper and push harder. Thank you all for helping be my motivation.

Had a busy week with a lot of set backs in my personal life but glad to say I'm down to 197. Twelve pounds to go!

Great thread - great motivation. I am working on dropping from 244 with a goal of getting under 200. When I hit that, I will set another major goal. I am however setting mini-goals, similar to climbing a hill, take it in sections! I am down to 237 in the 3 weeks since I started this, also with a slow-steady goal, using my Nov 17 b-day to be under 200.

Good luck hitting your goal - and even if you are close when you hit your birthday, you did a great job at dropping down!

Things are going good weight wise but my wife and I seperated. Honestly I don't know what I weigh right now but I know I'm less than I was three weeks ago. Won't be on here often I don't have regular access to a computer now.
