Posting problems from IE10
I'm unable to insert new lines in the Quick Reply area when using IE10 on Windows 8 (both the Metro and desktop versions). The full editor works fine. The page works fine if I switch to IE9 mode using the dev tools (F12).
I get the following error in the console:
SCRIPT5007: Unable to get property 'toLowerCase' of undefined or null reference
ckeditor.js, line 31 character 1241

I'm researching the issue, but Microsoft uses noncompliant proprietary code in their browsers, and 10 is new enough that it's outside my knowledge base as of yet. I'm a Linux/Unix guy at the core, anyway and am used to working with W3C compliant code browsers like Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, primarily. We've had issues in the past with various iterations of IE, both older and generally, right when they crank out either a new release or a major update patch, which breaks something else.....until we get the source code to write a patch for OUR software.

Yep, as a dev myself, I understand the strange problems encountered with IE. I just thought it was strange that it worked with IE9 and not IE10, and then only in the quick reply box. Let me know if you need any help looking into it.

That actually sounds like a similar reply issue that we had with IE6. Hmm......

I think I am having the same problem now. My computer recently "upgraded" me to a new IE. Now, when I try to enter or paste/edit text using the Quick Reply function, it won't allow me to highlight and change text color or even insert hard returns to create paragraphs. I had to switch to the "Go Advanced" function. I am only moderately computer-literate, so it could also be User Error on my part. Any suggestions on how to get back to being able to fully use "Post Quick Reply" function??
