Cutter Road Saddle?/ Recommend me a saddle.

Sorry. Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I just got a Kilo TT Pro and looking to replace the saddle. (Yes, the stock saddle sucks...) I stumbled upon this Cutter Road Saddle thing https://www.competitivecyclist.com/za...ID=16619&MODE=. I can't really find reviews online though. Any opinions? Thanks!

Pass on that thing.

If you are going to buy a saddle without trying it out, it's kind of like a blind date - it might work. But that thing would be like going on a blind date with your cousin - probably not a good idea. And should be illegal.

i niotice that they don't list saddle specs.
if you like it,make sure you find the width to be sure it will fit your sit bones.

check this link:https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&t...w=1017&bih=492

Go to your LBS.

Most LBS have a saddle trial program. You'll be able to test saddles for $10 or so, and that money can go towards the purchase of a new saddle when you make your choice.

saddles typically have different widths, which is super important for comfort.

the width between your sit bones is going to determine what saddle is best for your butt.

for instance, i am of the "wide load" variety, and i am most comfy on saddles with widths between 145-155.

why is this super important??
if you ever ride your bike longer than 10-20 miles, you will definitely notice when a saddle dosn't fit your butt.
if are meant for a wider saddle and you are on a skinny saddle, you wont be sitting on your sit bones, but you will be sitting on your TAINT and this will be painful after a short while.
hence why you will see road bike saddles with cutouts down the middle.

its hard to recommend a saddle without knowing distance between sit bones, but i will say allot of people are comfortable on brooks b17s, because the leather saddle will eventually conform and mold to the rider's butt....eventually. took mine a good year or two

NO ONE is going to be able to recommend you a good saddle. It doesn't work like other parts. You have to try a few (or lots, depending on how picky your taint and sit bones are) to find what works best for your specific body structure.

As Jay said, go to your LBS and ask if they have a saddle testing program.

Good luck.

Brooks has always been kind to my ass, for me they are comfy right out of the box, and better as they are broken in. Just not a good idea if you'll be leaving your bike outside. (rain and theives are the Brooks greatest enemies!)

Ok thanks so much guys! I was being impatient and ordered it before anybody answered
Good thing is that I can always return it. If I'm not happy with this one I'll definitely go to LBS and have them help me out. I'll let you guys know how this goes!

@skycomag: It's also on sale on BackCountry. There, it says microfiber cover and nickel-Ti alloy rail, weighing 209 g.

That saddle came stock on my Civilian cross bike. It was actually surprisingly comfy. Similar to my flite. Plus it is pretty light. There are worse saddles out there for $15 bucks. And for that price I would buy it knowing that I now like it.

someone else had mentioned the WTB Speed V, too. WTB says mountain bike to me way more than Charge.
