Florida Riders - Take Stock in Children: Cyclling for Success April 13th

Great ride in and around the Ocala National forest. Starts in Summerfield, FL near the Villages. Registration at active.com or see the info here. https://pefmc.org/wp-content/uploads/...yerupdated.pdf.

Any BF members (besides me) doing this ride?

Any idea how many feet of climbing it is? A 63 mile ride may be just the thing I need to do next month, but this clyde hasn't fallen in love with climbing yet (900 feet in 60 miles is the worst (or best?) I've done so far).

Google Earth calls it 1,500+ feet over the 45 miles the route doesn't double back on itself. This is gonna require some thought. One of my highlights of TDC was blowing the doors off that skinny young rider going uphill without breaking a sweat (though I felt bad at the rest stop later when it was revealed she wasn't as skilled a rider as I thought). Hills are what I want to work...

I rode the 35 mile ride last year. Both rides follow the same route to the first rest stop and I didn't find any hills that were taxing. I can't speak for the balance of the 65 mile ride, but doubt there are any significant hills - although, the previous year's ride which followed a different route did have one hill that I struggled with (but then, I'm not very good on hills, so YMMV).
