Microshift thumb shifter question

Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!
The front shifter isn't indexed and the rear is a self-contained unit so removing the levers from the mounts won't upset anything. See if the mounting bosses can be loosened and reoriented a partial turn on the clamp band. I know the shifter bodies can be turned 180° on their bosses but that's probably too much.

I'm not sure whether they can be rotated on their mount points to achieve the alignment that the OP wants, but it's worth a try.

Lever systems vary, and I don't know most of them by hear. But it's common construction to locate the mechanism on the body via a pin which engages a pocket in the body.
Remove the entire lever unit from the clamp body, and see how the back plate is anchored. You might be able to drill a new pin hole in the body, or dremel pockets to accept the unit.
Also I know you already own these, but some time back SunTour (I think) made levers where the lever itself clamped to a shaft, and allowed the position vs. the index click to be adjusted. If it's rally an issue you might track down one of these.

I suppose that may be down to the angle at which I took the photo. The "cables" you see are actually the brake lines. I guess all the black doesn't make it obvious at first sight.
The shifters aren't connected yet, but their cables will go in the bits that run parallel to the brake lines, just below them....
