Chain Lube Riddle video- ANSWER

My psychiatric consulting team has forbidden further participation on 'Bike Forum' boards, but has allowed me to take care of this last piece of unfinished business. A week or so ago I posted a "chain lube riddle" video- which is in the thread graveyard by now- and I've no idea if anybody got it because I stopped looking at posts.

Anyway, here is the answer to the riddle (easily found if you are sick enough to want to watch it). It may be viewed as mere entertainment if you like, as voyeuristic psychodrama if you're into that- but it is also, where technical matters are concerned, accurate, verifiable, and repeatable. In other words, has useful and reliable information that can improve one's experience of cycling. A lot. Provided one has the patience and stomach to hang in there to the end. You'll definitely need it.

Cool, makes sense. I bet this whole quest could be made into a one-man play.

Pretty Impressive idea, I would try it out were it not so fussy.

Grease dissolved in a solvent so it can get to places you cant see.

From what I can rember it is; 1.8oz of green grease, .2oz of phil wood's waterproof grease. dissolved in the decanted contents of one can of crc mass air flow sensor cleaner. Then dripped onto each chain roller. don't trust me though I maybe wrong.

Yeah, I've considered that before... or how about submerging the chain in hot grease, then after letting it cool, washing off the excess with high-pressure solvent...?

Or I guess I could submerge the chain in room temperature grease and hit it with the vacuum pump.

I wondered that, it would get the part of the chain you can't see completely full of grease, I think I will stick with chain lube. I thought bicycles were supposed to be simple.

It's two high zoot psychiatrists working together on your case. Usually one adept at dealing with the "highs" and the other deals with the "lows" of bi-polar people. They rarely agree, thus aggravating Gerry's problem. bk
