Chain hitch?

Just purchase a Marinoni Fango and it has what I think is a chain hitch. Figured this the best place to find out what it is and it's use.
Thanks

Yep, although I've never heard the term "hitch" before, it is used to hang the chain from when removing the wheel. Some folks like to locate them on the cs rather than the ss.

Here's where I've placed my chain pegs for years. Never understood why one should have to get their fingers dirty and lift the chain up to a seat stay located peg. Andy.
