Cleaned House

I have not posted in almost a year, have not even looked in - just got pissed off one day at the general tone of things and walked away. If it isn't fun - don't do it. Looked back in a week ago, read a few threads and found that with the changes that occured in my absence things seem to have gotten more rational.

I too took a break from the forums basically because I did not like the intolerance and insulting nature of some posters...like they are all Lance Armstrongs...oooh bad comparison mebbe...and know it all and done it all.
I ventured back several weeks ago and also found it a better forum.

This is what I found too, when I found myself feeling outraged by what seemed to me to be bullying tactics I just said to myself - life is too short. Luckily I have been involved with another social forum that is more about sharing information and experiences, experience reports are read and people are grateful for them. There seem to be little if any social cliques and except for the occassional scofflaw, everyone is treated with respect.

I have always found this forum to be much more civil than the real world.

It's easy for people to say and act tough on a forum where you're anonymous. I seriously doubt many of these people act an talk that way normally because they wouldn't have friends and probably spend most of their life locked up.

I've probably met and ridden with at least fifteen perhaps more 50+ members and each one has been awesome. Sure we're all different but we all do have some things in common. We're all over 50 and we ride bikes.

There are a lot of really great people who participate here. Always has been that way - didn't mean to imply otherwise.

One of my mottos:

Do it for Fun; or,
Do it for Survival; or,
Don't do it At All.

There is no need to justify why or when a person comes or goes from the Forum. That can only stir things up with those who disagree. As long as the owners are making money this forum will be here for when it is fun again.

YMMV
