So i've decided I wanted to start biking in order to save some gas around town, and it seems like a fixed gear is what i'm leaning towards getting. I used to BMX when i was a kid, but now i just need something i can get around town with.
From what i've been reading State Bicycles seems like the big fixie company, but for some reason you guys don't like them? So i'm asking for some help in pointing me in the direction of some good fixed gear bike companys. THANKS GUYS
You haven't actually given us enough information to make a recommendation. How much money are you looking to spend? Do you want a townie type bike with paneers etc. or do you want a bike that will go fast with your buddies? Do you really care about how the bike looks or do you care about it having the best components for the price? The default answer to this inquiry is Kilo TT, but they are often not in stock and you must get them assembled, either doing it yourself or hiring a shop.
The quella's posted above look roughly equivalent to a State and I'm not 100% sure it isn't a shill.
Poor attempt at being a shill. In addition, the cost of one of those bikes is roughly $620 US (not including shipping from the UK) for a frame that isn't butted, and a bunch of no name parts. Seems worth it...
