2013 cycling goals. Are you on pace to meet your goals?
I have a mileage goal of 12,000 miles, a century ride every month, and complete a century ride under 5 hours.
Right now I'm on pace to ride 13,833 miles, but have only done 3 century rides, and my best century time is 5:28.
How is your year coming along?

I haven't advanced much on the goals ... but then it is the middle of winter, and we're still not sure where we'll be, or what we'll be doing in 2013.

I sorta missed my goal of one century per month (my longest ride in July was 68 mi), but I did so many centuries in March through May that I lost count of them, and I feel that I can substitute one for July.
I had a goal of 5000 miles/year and, at the present pace, using average mileage since Jan 1, I'm on track to reach 5000 miles around October 16. In fact, I expect to pick up the pace and to be done sooner (barring emergencies, I should be over 4500 by the end of August.)
My longest ride before 2013 was 143 miles. So far in 2013 I've completed 2 double imperial centuries, I expect to complete at least one more and I'm considering going for the total of 5.

My goal was a sub hour 40k.
Had a particularly bad first half of the year due to illnesses so not quite there yet
There's always next year.

My goals were- a century for the first time, at least 8,000 miles (grad school, getting married, and full time employment severely limit rides of more than 2 hours), and win my first race. I'm a little behind on the mileage and I haven't won yet, but I'm getting close. If I play my cards right, it'll happen soon. I also intend to do my first century in October.

i'll make my mileage goal but won't make my century goal. I needed to have that done already but I had about 3-4 weeks of downtime with bike repairs and that ruined my extremely tight schedule. now coaching responsibilities with sons football team has killed my weekends thru November, so unless I get a nice weekend in early november and some free weekends for training between now and then I can't see it happening. oh well, not a deal breaker, just gonna hafta hit it hard on the trainer this year and be ready for a century early next season instead.

I am a few hundred miles south of my yearly distance goal and a long shot off my weight goal... , but we moved and I broke my clavicle, so considering the setbacks I feel pretty good about the progress I DID make.
