new GB stem and wingnuts?
The blog Lovely Bicycle posted that new production GB stems and wingnuts were on display at Interbike. Anyone know where or how they will be available?

No, but I'm willing to bet three bottles of beer they won't make wingnuts to fit the older Sturmey Archer geared hubs!
FYI here's a link to the blog the gnome mentioned.

You ever hear of a threading tap? In BSC? In Whitworth? In SAT (sturmey archer threading?)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's why they stopped making them over 50 years ago.

i had the same concerns when using them with my fixed gear, so i added a set of chain tensioners as a back-up wheel retention system. Those GB nuts look better than the Velo-Orange ones I have....

Cutting the new production for an SA hub. Fine, but you'd need to fashion the chain guide. On the original GB, the guide is threaded into the wingnut, it's a very small, fine piece of work.
I had a set of alloy GB wingnuts on a SA hub, everyone cautioned me about slippage. Never had any but the concern over it and constant checking drove me nuts! The Wingnuts are back on the shelf, if only for the time being.

No doubt the slippage is a figment of the imagination of those who, like the fox who couldn't reach the grapes, can't get their greasy fingers on a pair.
Which shelf, did you say, you put them on?
