Anyone familiar with what bike this is?

I'm looking into picking up a project bike in a day or so and came across a specialized on craigslist. I'm interested in finding the make and year of it to know if I am getting a decent price or if I should try to talk to seller down a little bit more. It seems like a decent deal to me, but I can't be sure since I'm making the jump from Mountain Biking/BMX to Road Cycling indefinitely. It's going to be my first road bike so I figured it would be better to buy used than spend 700+ on a new one. What would you all pay for this?

    Need better pics/description.

But it looks like an M2 Road from the mid-90s. There were a number of levels offered.

You could do worse (and you could do better). What to pay would be based on condition and componentry.

Ps. Why wouldn't you just post what the asking price is?

The guy is asking about 250 for it, but it's already had a few owners so I won't know what kind of abuse it has taken until I get there to check it out tonight. I'm about 5'9 and I believe it is a 56 cm.
