There are 10 days to go before my goal event of the year -- The Furnace Creek 508. Training is done now I'm just chillin' until Saturday October 3rd 7am.
This race is keeping me awake way more than it should- I wake up at 4:00am either thinking about all the logistics that need to be taken care of before we leave, or visualizing the course. We (2X Team Capybara) are switching stages this year, so visualizing Townes Pass is tough because last time I slept during most of it. I think it goes up a lot. Last year both of us had digestive issues during the second half- we're hoping for a better run this time around. We're in better shape anyway.
Can't wait to get out there! Hope you have a great ride, you solo nutter!

Good luck! You (and everyone else who rides the fc508) are my hero. One day I wish to be able to ride such a tough event.

Hope the weather cooperates it has been pretty hot here in So Cal and good luck.. I remember riding Townes Pass in the Death Valley to Mt Whitney race, the wind can get brutal out there..

Ahh sleep -- the beauty of fixed relay racing on ultras.
Nutrition-- What did you learn and what will you do differently this time?

Y'all are insane. I'd love to be strong enough to think about participating. Even if I were strong enough, I'm pretty sure I'd never get past the thinking stage...
