i have the 85mm travel version of that fork. the eta is more for climbing, the fork compresses but you still get like 35mm of travel. i rarely ever use the eta on my fork.
i think the seller of that fork is wrong about the length of travel, he says it has 130mm of travel. just looking at the marzocchi website, for 2003 the mx comp had 105mm of travel but you could get a kit to reduce the travel to 85mm. for 04' the mx comp w/ETA came in two versions, one with 105mm of travel and one with 120mm of travel. it could be an OEM fork though and sometimes OEM stuff has different specs than retail stuff.
From what I read about that it would adjust from 130 to 105. Is it a light fork? From what I found I think it is around 4 pounds, not bad. Either way if it needs work my friend can help me overhaul it, he's good with that stuff. Saw him install new lowers on his Fox, two days after he purchased it. Had it on the roof rack.. you know..

the eta will reduce the fork travel down to 30mm. so if you have a 130mm travel fork, then travel would be reduced by 100mm. it's basically a lock-out that gives you enough travel to take the edge off any bumps that you ride over.
as far as weight goes it's not a SID but it's not heavy. it has magnesium stanchions and not heavy steel stanchions like you find on a lot of lower end forks. plus it's an italian made fork, unlike the newer marzocchi's which are made in china.
