'73? motobecane (bent down tube) campy dropouts...
i don't know what to do to salvage this severely damaged frame... i have what i think to be a 73 motobecane, with a bent fork and down tube. should I cut the drops off and auction just them for ease of shipping, and just recycle the tubes? or should i auction off the whole thing?

i guess i could do both... duh. just attach the stays to each other, and auction off the drop outs, and the stool. obviously i don't want to just trash it, but i can't afford the repair job either.

I just don't see the Campy drop out thing. To me, drop outs were good/forged or not as good/stamped.
Drop outs provide hints to what's what if the frame's been repainted. Maybe I'm missing it here but I for one never thought of re-using them. Maybe if I built or even bothered to have frames repaired, I would feel differently. Just recycle it, I say or solicit them to a special type of frame person. frames cost over thirty dollars to ship.. I've donated frames to LBSs to hang up for show.
