How old is your main MTB?
It seems like most people have a bike that is'n tmuch older than a year or two on here. Just wanted to see how common older bikes were. My bike is a 2004. It's pretty new.

mine varies, i have a custom. My most recent bike, that being with all modifications added is something like a month old. The frames an 01, the fork is from 04. It varies like I said

2005. The v-drive cranks might be '04s, I don't know.

Ask me again in 10 years, and I'll still be on this beast. As long as the frame is still good, I will ride it. It's a 2004 Trek.

My current bike is a 1999 model. Previously my bike was from 1990. My old bike was still going strong when I gave it away to my brother (stupid move). I should have kept it. I really miss it.

My bike is a new '05. I got it a week or so ago. I had a FS bike a couple of years back, it was a hodge podge of components from '96 - '98. I sold it because I was moving and could take it with me, I also wanted to go to a hardtail because I do more street and light trail riding overall.

My bike's mainly 2005. The only things that aren't are the shifters and levers (soon to be replaced) and the fork (2002 I believe).

I can't believe the majority of bikes here are '05s. I'm a 2001, with '02 wheels, '03 front derailleur and shifters, '00 or '04 cranks. The only '05 thing on there is Avid cables..

My frame is an '03, and the parts are a mix of old and new. My fork is an '04, my shifters are '00 or '01s. Wheels are '04s...etc.

I've had mine for a while - It is a 1985 Specialized Rockhopper. All orginal equipment 'cept the tires, pads, some spokes, cranks, and saddle)
- now I run it on 1.5 slicks & with a Brooks saddle.
I remember that the first year I had it (85-86) that I broke off 2 cranks - nasty / scary - Nothing like going for a standup start in Downtown traffic and the crank sheers off! - Not once, but twice
- but they were both were replaced for free. It was one of the first mass produced Mtn. Bikes - back then it looked so strange - now it still looks strange compared to all the new Mtn. Bikes. - But now it is retro - Suntour fricton shifting and all!
- now I run it on 1.5 slicks & with a Brooks saddle.

I've got 2-a HT and a FS. The HT's a '95 and the FS is a '98-pretty much down to just the frames and suspensions, tho. Had to upgrade/replace a lot of parts over the years....
