Suspension Fork Needed
Recommendations needed for a 2003 Cannondale mt800 tandem with 1 1/8" headset https://www.cannondale.com/bikes/03/cusa/model-3MT8.html - Need advice on shock that would work well for taking the edge off of dropping over small curbs and light trail riding. No aggressive trail riding is intended. The 2003 mt2000 https://www.cannondale.com/bikes/03/cusa/model-3MT2.html used a Boxxer Race but I was seeking and alternative fork. Overall combined weight of riders and bike is 360lbs. Cheap would be good if it will stay working. I hate rebuilding forks. Presently the bike has V brakes but upgrading to disc brakes is intended.

Only point is to ensure that you get the Heaviest weight springs fitted, change hydraulic oil to a heavier grade--suggest 20 grade and set them up to give as little sag as possible.
Not certain on the ride height of these in the Modern form, but I have used 135 and 150mm travel forks to no ill affect on steering.
I think any of the single crown forks will do from a reputable manufacturer, but you do need those heavy weight springs-- or if available EXTRA heavy weight springs
