Ready or not... 6.18.02
All packed up and getting ready for the beginning of an experience to remember. Now, its all what I make of it.
Packing the bike was a slow and grueling process. So many parts to be paranoid about. I just cushioned everything real well and am going to graffiti it with beggings to handle nicely. The Yak BOB packed pretty large, so I tried to make the most of the space. I hope I don't get dinged for anything being too heavy. Lots of weight to distribute wisely and practically.
I just want to get there. I am excited to be thrown into something new. Here comes some fun challenges. Well, trying to keep them fun will be the only potential work of this extended vacation from the "norm".
I am trying to make myself realize the accommodations I have taken for granted all over again and trying to get some last few peices of that life before this change. "Rare grilled steak never looked or tasted so good!" I'm sure my mind will remember much better when its not around.
We cooked out and chilled out. It was a pretty normal day around the house. The skattered mess was just replaced with organized mess.
Tying up loose ends before a long trip can be tough. Basically I am thinking about going a few hundred miles and not having to think about anything but me and the ground around me.
I'm sure I'll unload some more thoughts when I am on the plane tomorrow. Either that or I'll be drooling on my self sound asleep. It's 3am and I got a couple hours till I go to the airport.
Take care and keep in touch. I'll catch you guys at the next internet cafe!
Peace
Dave
