Groupon lights - looks interesting for $8

These look cool, but I suspect the lines do not look as nice in real life as they do in the photo. but for $8. it might be worth a shot getting a few. Anyone have any luck with these?

I also doubt they ever sold any of these for $55.

Given the price I doubt these are visible during the day, doubt they work well at night and doubt a car driver would understand what the lines mean. If you want to buy a light, buy the brightest blinking tail light you can afford.

I had something similar I got off eBay last year. It was bright and pretty visible, but after a couple hundred road miles the mount broke. I'm much happier with the hotshot that replaced it.

Meh. I've an aversion for things that get heavily shilled through Facebook advertising, and these have been popping up in my feed for months.

Skip them. My wife bought me one last time they had them. Can't see the lane markers except in pitch black conditions.

They sell for about a dollar on eBay. Starting bids are a penny.

Why buy a non-rechargable light? The money you save will quickly be used up by buying batteries. Plus you can spend almost the same amount and get a USB rechargeable one. Check out Banggoods.com. I bought this one for less than $7 and it is great. Very bright. Almost as bright as my $100 tail light that I rarely use any more.

They come straight from China so they take a week or so to arrive, but I've never had a problem with anything I have bought from them.

+1 on the markers. My GF bought me something similar. While the tail light is visible, the lane markers add virtually nothing, especially in the city where you have street lights.
