Beach Cruisers Do you love balloon tires and fenders? Do you love riding the simplicity of a single gear and coaster brakes or a single gear cluster? Do you love the classic curves in the tubing of a cruiser that takes you back to the 1950's and 1960's, stylistically? Here's your home! Welcome to the Beach Cruisers and Cruisers forum!

Newbie needs y'all help.

Hi everyone.

I am wanting to buy a bike to ride around my neighborhood, the beach, & run errands. I have narrowed it down to the Electra Townie 7 speed (maybe a cruiser 7 speed) or the hybrid bike from SixThreeZero. Thoughts on both?

Thank you so much.

Electra Townie, well built and they hold their value. If you live near an REI, you can get one thru them and earn a 10% rebate. Usually great service and flexible return policy.

My wife and I both have Townies and they are great around town bikes. Super comfortable to ride and you can put your feet down while sitting when you stop.

I'd vote for the Electra Townie. Nice bike and well built.

I bought the Super Deluxe 3i. I didn't care for the way I felt a little cramped when riding the Townie. Now hubby loved the Townie and ordered that one. I loved the feel of cruisers and I feel a little more relaxed and spread out. I have ordered it sight unseen but it had everything I wanted. 3 speed w/ coaster brakes. Hope I love it when it comes in this week.

Thank you to all who answered my question.
