For $495, you could buy a pretty decent MTB for experimental purposes rather than spending it on a class. I bet you already know how to do most of that stuff anyway

Actualy, i just talked to my manager, and work would actualy pay for the class. I have 88hrs of paid time off, so the 2 week course would be a bit better. I think i'm going to go for it. I'll end up paying ~$300 for travel, rent and food... not too bad.

A few years ago, I received as a retirement gift the two week UBI course. It was terrific. The staff is superb. I'll use forever the things that I learned there. Don't pass it up. John

UBI sounds like a great way to spend a vacation. Go for it!

Joe,
I took the 2 week course there a few years ago. I learned a few new things and few better ways to do some others. The staff is great. The town is great. The riding is great. You get the Idea right?

Thanks John & Kevin, this sounds like the course for me. I do simple maintence, and have no problems adjusting breaks, derailleurs, changing cassetts and cables... but i wouldnt dare work on anyone elses bike but my own.

I considered doing this a few years ago when I was unemployed. Let us know how you like the course.
We'll try not to destroy BF while you're gone.
