Advice please. Origami Dragon
I am looking for a 20" folder for my son. Last time I was on the market for myself 2 years ago. There seems to be more choices locally and online. I was about to chose between midrange Dahon or Tern in $550 to $750 range - something safe and reliable. Then Origami Dragon caught my attention. Please share your opinions or experiences. I value safety over everything else. But a cool bike will be an additional motivation for my son to use it more often. Thanks in advance

Paul, you may want to edit the HTML for your Dragon specifications table on your site. All provided specs end with "No". For instance:

We are working on a fix for this. For the time being, just ignore the "No" because the rest of the information is correct

young folk can be very conservative in their tastes in as much as they go with their peers, so a "clown" bike may not be the thing this year.

Very true. My son is 29 and he thinks the Bike Friday PakiT is cool but considers most folders "weeny bikes" as he puts it. He rides a Jamis, does not own a car or want one. He's got mixed feelings about the Brompton, he thinks it looks dorky but he likes how you can take it inside the local bar ;-).

I rode an Oragami 46 miles.
I'm 6' 190# & rode my brother-in-law's Oragami folder 46 miles through the countryside outside Mannitowoc, WI. It worked well. I added my own Brooks saddle & Arkel bag. Not a speed demon (11mph) but acceptable.

The Crane 8 is usually my ride of choice. If he has an older one, it would have been 7 speeds and not terribly fast. The new ones (Crane 8) have a much wider gear range and are significantly faster (I often cruise at about 13mph and sprint at about 17). Oh, since the Dragon was the subject of the thread, it is faster still.

This was an 8
