1inch(25.4mm) threaded to 1 1/8inch(28.6mm) threadless adapter
Hi Forum of folding bikes, Good Evening!
I am looking for a part to extend my folding bike's front post. The adapter should be solid on both end except a hole for the long screw to go through. It's hard to find because the 1 1/8 inch end has to be at least 6 inch long.
Attached please find a picture of the bike. The inner diameter of current front post is 1 1/8inch(28.6mm). Current adapter is also 1inch(25.4mm) threaded to 1 1/8inch(28.6mm) threadless, but it's too short on the 1 1/8 inch end. I need it to be longer so that I can lift the entire post with handlebars more (with some spacers to go into the gap created).
Any info is appreciated. I found several items but they don't look like right fit.
This one: https://www.amazon.com/Sunlite-Cromo...ZD5XY04MCZ5Y4P
It's fat end is hollow with an inner diameter at 25.4mm. Hence it's an extender instead of an adapter.
Another one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=ADIKZAFTSWMNW
It looks hollow on the fat end too.
3rd one: SpeedPark 2052-594 Insert Conversion for Bike 28.6mm Stem / 22.2mm Fork - SLV | eBay
Its size for thinner end is unknown 'cuz it's said to be 1-inch(22.2mm), but 1-inch is actually 25.4mm. Also it has some kind of hook on the fat end, which might be a good indicator for hollowness as well. Unless it's a cap?

I am having trouble understanding exactly what you need, so forgive me if this isn't what you need, but Velo Orange has a 180 mm one that might work.

@all
Correction: the thinner end's outer diameter is 22.2mm. Just measured this morning.

Add a picture of current adapter.
It's threaded to threaded, correct?

I do not believe those adapters are designed to be used daisy chained together. Use one and one only not one on top of another on top of another which is a daisy chain. Please do not quote me on this as I then have to go through and get rid of them on my account. I can and do go back on my own and look at posts. Multiple use of those adapters could lead to a catistrophic failure. They are designed to work with leverage put on by one of them not by several of them. Roger

Is this what you are looking for:
High Rider Stem Adapter 28.6/22.2 | SOMA Fabrications
I used one of these on my Raleigh Twenty.
