Braes Bayou Trail in Houston

Does anyone know the current status of the work on the multipurpose trail along Braes Bayou in Houston? Can you now go from I-59 to the University of Houston without having to ride/walk your bike over short unpaved portions as you did a few years ago (the last time I rode the trail)?

Also, did they redo the portion of the trail on the north side of the bayou near the Med Center so that it isn't so run down, narrow, and close to the water? Thanks!

I don't know the answer to your question but BikeHouston.org might.

The section between the loop and Buffalo Speedway (I think) is all torn up. No idea if they've connected the parts near Hermann Park, or if they've extended it to 59/69.

Is there a website that lists all the more popular and current road bike routes in the Houston and surrounding areas?

Mapmyride.com

I would narrow the search by adding geographical term such as "Katy", "the heights" or "Waller"...etc
