shimano deore shifters
are my shimano deore shifters any good? i've got them on my new bike and dont really want to trade them out. I want to make sure they are ok quality though.

They are fine. They will serve you well. I had thoughts of upgrading my Deore's to XT but didn't and they have served me well. Wear em' out!!!

i had them on my aline for a while, it worked prety well untill i bent my derailur. dont replace untill you break them, if and when you do switch to SRAM much better then shimano. i have X.7 and i love them

Back to your question. I run Deore on my hardtail. The only other thing I did to them was black out the displays as the needles no longer work properly. It wasn't worth the time to fix or remove them so I masked them off and zapped the windows with black spray paint
