Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

July T-Town swap meet

Anyone going to this?

https://www.lvvelo.org/fleamarkets.php

Saturday, July 9, 2005, 9 A.M. – 3 P.M. : For the first time ever, the LV Velodrome will hold a Summer Flea Market. Just like in the old days, racing will occur while the flea market is being conducted; the USA Cycling Junior National Championship morning session will be held at the same time.

I'm going but mostly to see the racing this time. Or at least, that's what I'm telling myself.

I'll be living in Boston by the 9th. Maybe I could take the train down to NY and bum a ride off someone. I've never been to T-Town, and I'd really like to make it.

Edit: I have a zipcar account, so maybe I could rent a car myself in ny and take a couple of people. I have no intention of driving from Boston though.

im going. got a ton of sweet deals at the spring one. the spring was much smaller than the fall swap as i suppose the summer will be. make sure to bring your own food, i cant believe how gross the food at the concession stand is. i hope those keirin kids from NY come again, they had good stuff.
